My Favorite Influencer

Influencers are all over social media, especially on Instagram. I can’t scroll through my feed without
seeing an influencer post involving an advertisement or collaboration. Karen Freberg defines an

influence as “the capacity of the power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce

an effect on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others”. Influencers are people who are

passionate and skilled in a certain industry that know how to create content and engage with their

audience. These influencers have the power to voice their thoughts and ideas that are seen by

millions of users. These influencers can be sponsored by brands and in return these influencers will

promote the brand’s products or services. 

Alexandra Elle (@alex_elle) is my favorite social media influencer. She is an author and wellness

consultant. She is also a wife and a mom in the DC metro area. Her Instagram feed includes

photography and quotes that she write herself. The quotes she writes are very inspirational and

rooted in the truth. She started writing and journaling as a form of therapy and healing. Now Alex has

moved into teaching workshops and retreats that are centered around helping others find confidence

through writing. 

Alexandra Elle is my favorite influencer because she promotes healing in a safe and encouraging

way. I think she targets her female audience very well. It is well known that she is a wife and mother

who doesn’t have everything figured out. She is very relatable and rarely uses her influencer status

to promote other brands or products. Her goal is to just help people. 

My favorite quote of hers is “If it robs you of your joy keep it at bay. Protect your peace”.
